‘Lovely Trash’ hits domestic box office

‘Lovely Trash’ by Mohsen Amir-Yousefi has shown solid legs in its second week of release with a total domestic gross of 20,000,000,000 Rials.

Despite the lower box office numbers, the flick has had over two hundred special screenings during the past two weeks, and has become a domestic smash after the 37th Fajr Film Festival.

‘Lovely Trash’ is about a mother whose family secrets will be revealed when some strangers enter her house and see some family photos.

The drama features top stars from Iran cinema, including Habib Rezaee, Hediyeh Tehrani, Negar Javaherian, Saber Abar and Shirin Yazdanbakhsh.

Cannes-winning star Shahab Hosseini attended ‘Lovely Trash’ public screening on February 17, bringing fortune to the sales.
